Monday

dream big

i wouldn't know if 8 am existed if it weren't for mondays. but thank the lord i get to be in a classroom to experience the full wonders and benefits of monday morning classes.

i try to avoid people, because i dont like to talk on mondays.

"hows school?"

"oh.. good, hows school for you?"

"oh, its good too"

"..."

"okay bye!"

"yep! bye!"

i hide in the corner of the library reading wedding blogs, indulging in my bag of cheezies, avoiding any authority-type person.

i always get caught eating in the library, and im not sure if its the crunching of the bag, or the orange crumbs that surround my keyboard.. but they always find me.

i think they have undercover food nazis that moniter the area, and im quite sure im on their top 5 hit list and that there is a poster in the librarians office with darts poking through my eyes.

my boyfriend mentioned the other day that he wonders why i am not 250 pounds overweight (this is when i was deciding whether i should buy the chocolate dunk-a-roos with chocolate icing, or the cinnamon dunk-a-roos with vanilla icing, at safeway the other day)

valid observation.

i dont know if i should be embarassed or proud, but im just going to say proud so i can keep eating these cheezies, guilt free.

anyways, like i was saying i read all these wedding blogs because i have a weird obsession with weddings, and if my boyfriend ever caught me he would buy a one way ticket to Calcutta, India, and then i would be single so lets keep this on the downlow.

i kinda sorta want to be a wedding planner and i mentioned this to my mother, thinking she would be overjoyed that i have figured out my life, and this is how she responds..

"oh honey, every girl wants to be a wedding planner, just like every boy wants to be an astronaut"

...

aren't parents supposed to be supportive of their offspring? i mean, yeah i understand that i am in my third year of post-secondary education, and when people ask me what i want to do with my life, i stare at them in pain, as if i have explosive diarrhea.

it's such a hoax, as little kids we are told to dream big, we can be anything we want, and then when we all get older we get shit kicked to the 9-5 cubicle job, with framed pictures of our cat on our desk, and coffee stained teeth.

i dont mean to sound negative in any way, but if i cant plan weddings, then you cant go to the moon, assholes.

xoxo, the damsel
