Wednesday

big girl world

i got a full time job down town working oil and gas, and let me tell you - paychecks trump education.
its nice to have money again to buy stuff like home waxing kits, and other things that i wont ever come around to using, stashing them away in the far corner of my bathroom cabinet to one day be re-gifted.

i'm just kidding. i don't do that.

....

since the average age at my office is 65 going on 93, i have decided to not make friends with anyone. i bring my lunch and sit alone in the building cafeteria, and people watch for a good hour.

this cafeteria brings all the people together at lunchtime, from all over down town. i see ladies walking in high heels as if they were crossing coals of fire in a native ceremony, and too short of men, wearing too small of pants, showing off their packages (or lack thereof.)
it's nice to work, because i constantly am able to justify buying clothes that would look nice in the office (and at the club, hanging off my drunk body.)

today i hemmed my black pair of pants with staples. god forbid if my mother ever found out, good thing ive been doing my own laundry since age 3.

i was eating my lunch in peace, when i got interupted by a man named i forget. he introduced himself to me, as i was chowing down a bagel as if it was the last piece of meat on earth. this man stared, and then proceeded to talk to me about how he sells plants to offices.

he somehow managed to get my name out of me, as well as my office location, job title, 5 year plan and was probably 2 minutes away from getting my place of birth, and bra size.

he then handed me his card, winked, and said "if you ever need any plants in your office, dont hesitate to call me"

ha ha.. yeah ferrrrr sure, bud.

this man had a ring on his finger, as i made a point of checking, then double checking, and i decided he was clearly looking for an affair.

i'll show you affair - shove an acacia tree up your backside, and go make sweet love to your wife, plant man. maybe another day, but right now i'm on my lunch break, and i'm people watching. lay off.

xoxo, the damsel
