as most of you know, or none of you know, whatever, my family and i have recently moved to a new house.
it was kind of a "summer project" to completely gut a house, and start fresh - but it has sort of turned into a long term project..
I'm still awaiting blinds for my room, and doors to be put on, but those are just minor things. privacy doesnt matter.
i somehow managed the biggest room upstairs, and all my parent's friends are like "you idiots, she's never going to leave now"
ha ha ha..
so my neighbours are nice. some have come and introduced themselves, and asked to see our renovations, etc.
but there is this one house..
it's sort of diagonally across from us. i think octomom is in hiding there. there are always children running around and screaming and throwing shit at each other.
one of the kids (she has six of them. six.) rides around on this motorized scooter that sounds like a vuvuzela on cocaine, one rides a unicycle, (yes, you read that correctly) and another hops around on a pogo stick. for hours. it's like the bloody circus came to town and wont fucking leave.
this mother is weird. apparently they built their children's playhouse over one of those giant green electrical boxes, so now one kid can play in the sand box, one can go down the slide, and the other can lick loose wires.
the other day we were having a nice sunday night dinner when my dad notices two of the children atop the family's white minivan. on top. like I cant even make this stuff up. then another joins in but brings a rope, so now not only is it possible to fall off and get nailed by oncoming traffic, you can also strangle from the side-view mirrors. what in the fuck is going on?
after hours of trying to remain calm and not become the "new neighbourhood grump-asses" my dad snapped and yelled at the kid with the scooter, and told him to shut up because it's sunday, and he likes quiet on sundays, and my mother threatened to call child services on the octomom for being a dumb broad and letting her children play tug-o-war on their vehicle.
so here we are, the new house on the corner with the grump-asses.
nice to meet you!
xoxo, the damsel
