Sunday

its a new year!

i'd like to blame the lack of blog posting on my busy life, but the truth is, in the past two weeks my life has consisted of watching sex and the city, eating left over christmas chocolates, and being lazy, so deal with that how you will.

christmas was nice, it's good to get together with family share laughs and hugs and all that family stuff, but sometimes in the hustle and bustle of all the visiting and talking over one-another its best to do what my great uncle does at family get togethers: pop out his hearing aids, stash 'em in his pocket, and sit in the comfiest chair with a big smile on his face.

new years was about as nice as a new years can get when drinking a bottle and a half of wine to yourself. my boyfriend and i bought a nice bottle to share with fondue and strawberries after, but i cracked into it a little early, and got belligerent to the point where i start leaving voicemails to all my phone contacts.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONT WANT TO SLEEP WITH ME TONIGHT, BOYFRIEND?

i didnt really think of a new years resolution, because i figured i always pick stupid unachievable stuff like "floss your teeth," but im still thinking about one, i really hope its not too late.

my friend daly's resolution was to be open to male relationships, and she achieved this by picking up a phonecall from a guy. one time. so she's already been successful, i envy that.

so far i have thought of: sleep more (achievable, keeping in mind certain obsticles may get in the way, like school, and hunger), be nice to people that frustrate you (not very achievable since this is about 90% of the worlds population) and blink more (im doing good with this one.)

i was feeling refreshed and excited for the new year, until i woke up and broke a body sized mirror in my bathroom, so the next seven years of my life are going to hell in a hand basket.

i havent noticed my bad luck quite yet however, as the other day i parked my car in a parkade, only to return to it in the dead center of the lot, taking up four spaces, snuggled beside (but not touching) two pillars.

who knew an E brake was so important.

so curse me for seven years, but it appears that i have a lucky horseshoe up my ass somewhere in there.

hope everyone had a wonderful break, i know i did, i almost got too comfortable and i decided i need to marry someone who will allow me to be a house wife lazy. its nice.

xoxo, the damsel
